I just saw a commercial from Saturn advertising that if you lose your job they will pay your payments for up to nine months. I am sure there is other bullshit associated with this deal but I wondered this...
Doesn't GM own Saturn? And didn't the treasury do this to warn them about their future?

For seven years I had to teach with a dreadful book by publisher Houghton Mifflin. For the next seven I taught with a book I could have written myself, it was so perfect for me by publisher Prentice-Hall. Now, I am stuck with another stinker by publisher McDougall-Littel which was purchased in 1994 by - wait for it - Houghton Mifflin. Clearly, HM took their POS textbook and put the ML publisher on it hoping people wouldn't notice it was still POS. Clearly, this is a form of bait-and-switch that corporate American is doing in all areas.
